Celebrating Mother Language Day in P1

23rd Feb 2022

P1 had so much fun on Monday celebrating Mother Language Day. In our class, there are 7 different languages spoken and we had great fun finding out more about these countries. We had been very busy learning ‘Our God is so Good’ in Tetum in preparation for our assembly. It was fun singing for the boys and girls in FS, we really enjoyed the performances in Polish, Portuguese and Lithuanian too. Ms Samoskaite came to our class to read us a story in Lithuanian and answer any of our questions about Lithuania. We found out about some traditional Lithuanian, Polish and Hungarian food. Mrs Allam even made a Portuguese custard for us to try, it was yummy. P1 had great fun celebrating Mother Language Day!
