P4 visit the Armagh County Museum
Primary 4 along with Miss Harte's class visited the Armagh County Museum to find out more about WW2. For our first task we had to be detectives, we worked together to identify what the object was used for and why it was important. Next we used our listening skills and found out lots of interesting facts about life at home during the war. Some of us were able to try on gas masks, the boys dressed up as an Air Raid Warden, we had the opportunity to use our sense of smell to identify some WW2 smells we also found out about rationing and life as an evacuee. Our last task was craft and we all got to make a gas mask. It was a lovely morning out of school and we had great fun learning new facts.
