P4/5 Wartime Blackout

30th Jan 2023

P4/5 have been really enjoying learning about World War 2. Last week we were learning about the Blitz and how during 1940, people who lived in the cities had to take part in a 'Blackout'. Today in class we made our own Blackout testing houses. We used torches to test which materials were opaque, transparent and translucent. We discovered that tin foil would be the best material to use to black out the testing house window and stay safe during the war!
