The Enormous Turnip

3rd Feb 2023

Primary 1 really enjoyed listening to the story of ‘The Enormous Turnip’ this week in class. We enjoyed re-telling the story and illustrating the characters in the story. On Friday we even got to taste turnip! We discussed how the turnip began as a seed in the ground. We had to peel the turnip and Miss Leitch and Mrs Allam had to be very careful when cutting the turnip. We boiled it and then enjoyed eating it with our friends. It’s fun to taste new foods!
