Settling into Primary 1 🤩
Our Primary 1 pupils have made a fantastic start to their school journey! Over the past few weeks, they’ve been busy exploring, learning, and building new friendships as they settle into their new routines.
The children have been developing their fine motor skills through a variety of mark making activities, helping to strengthen their pencil grip and creativity. They’ve also been working on beanbag challenges, which support coordination and control in a fun and active way.
In numeracy, pupils have been learning to recognise and work with numbers, while in literacy, they’ve been introduced to some exciting new sounds as they begin their phonics journey.
As part of our ‘Marvellous Me’ topic, the children have been learning all about their bodies, exploring their likes and dislikes, and celebrating what makes each of them unique. It’s been a joyful start filled with curiosity, confidence, and lots of smiles!
