We have been looking at the similarities and differences between the Arctic and Antarctic. Children were able to complete a ‘fair test’ experiment where we made our own ‘blubber hand’. This mirrors how animals with lots of blubber like walruses and whales can stay warm icy water. We were able to keep our hands in the water a lot longer with our blubber hands than we did with our bare hands!
