ASC C Class explores On the Farm, Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day

1st Mar 2023

ASC C class has thoroughly enjoyed the topic On the farm. We have been exploring hands on based activities to find out what it is like to be a farmer, shearing our sheep 'Nelly', making woolly jumpers, investigating tractor tracts with paint and finding about where our food comes from. In cooking and for our STEM activities we made pancakes, pizzas, soda farls and even made our own butter and ice cream.
For Chinese New Year we dedicated a whole week to find out about the special festival. We tried to use chopsticks, made red lanterns, wrote numbers in Chinese and got to sample lots of tasty food like noodles, prawn crackers, spring rolls and chilli sauce.
During Valentine's Week it was all about spreading the love. We made love heart cards and special gifts for our loved ones and practised self love by having foot spas and massages. What a treat!
