Autumn Apple Crumble in P2

11th Oct 2024

Primary 2 have been learning all about apples in their Autumn topic.  Our teacher showed us some Bramley apples which are used for cooking.  We enjoyed using our senses to explore these apples.  We looked carefully at the colour of the apple skin and held it.  Miss Hall peeled and sliced the apples, we heard the crunch and then all got a little piece of the apple to smell and taste.  Some of us liked the taste but others were not so sure!

We followed a recipe to make an apple crumble.  The crunchy apples turned soft when the crumble was cooked in the oven.  Finally, we all got to taste some yummy apple crumble.
