Finding out about castles

24th Nov 2024
P4 are finding out all about castles and are looking forward to visiting Carrickfergus Castle soon. We have been labelling the features of a castle. Miss Hull set us the task to investigate why metal rusts so we could help protect the King’s Castle. We have been having fun in ABL using knex, Lego, magnetic blocks to create castles. Our favourite area has been our small world castle. We have also got two lovely new jigsaws, which we have enjoyed completing. We have been programming bee bot to send him to gather the correct equipment to fight the dragon and rescue the Princess. In art we have been recreating Paul Klees’s ‘Castle in the sun’ painting.
