Outdoor Maths Fun

In Numeracy this week we have been learning about patterns and area.  

Today we completed our Maths activity outside.  One group had to collect natural materials to make a pattern.  The other group had to find things that had an area about the same size as 2 bricks, things that had an area smaller than 2 bricks and things that had an area larger than 2 bricks. Then we had to tell a partner something we found out.

It was a nice change working outside again instead of in our classroom.
