Primary 6 Young Business

The children in Primary 6 started their own small business that linked into areas across the curriculum developing real life skills. Ideas were pitched and it was decided the product for selling would be soap.  In art lessons the children designed logos, market research questions were designed in literacy, advertisements were created in ICT and through the making of the soap the children developed their science skills through fair testing and learning about reversible and irreversible changes. The boys and girls really enjoyed working out the costings and potential profit margins in numeracy. The soap went on sale at St.Anne’s Craft Fair and an amazing £221 profit was made.  Thank you to everyone who supported the Primary 6 small business.
