For World Maths Day, we had to take our numeracy outside. P1 really enjoyed working in small groups to explore numeracy concepts further within the outdoor environment. We were partitioning sets into sub-sets within 5 and using our whiteboards to have a go at writing some simple number sentences. Others had fun practising their touch counting, combining sets within 10 and practising our shape formation. Outdoor learning is great fun - we even decided to stay and have our snack outside!
